Former ANC member joins DA!!!

It seems Mosiuoa Lekota, Mbhazima Shilowa and Mluleki George have set a trend of desertion from the African National Congress.Today The DA (Democratic Alliance) won over the support of a former senior member of the ANC (African National Congress).
The DA announced the desertion of Nosimo Balindlela, formerly of the ANC's top council.

Balindlela was also the premier of the Eastern Cape - an ANC stronghold and the home of Nelson Mandela. She told reporters, "I have taken this step because I do believe the DA is the future."

She spoke of ANC greats, Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo, she told journalists that South Africa was not the country they had imagined.
"This is not what they wanted us to be. They wanted to make sure that racism is finished in South Africa and it is very sad that we are still on that tag of racism."

While Balindlela is no longer considered a major player in South African politics, her desertion will be a blow to the already underfire ANC.It will also provide a boost to the DA, which has been struggling to win over black voters. DA leader Helen is said to have praised the move

Balindlela was pushed from her post as Eastern Cape leader in 2008 after her province opposed Jacob Zuma's successful bid to oust Thabo Mbeki from the presidency.

She later joined the Congress of the People that split from the ANC four years ago.
"Many of us understand that our future lies in transcending these obsolete political formations. But it takes a courageous person to be among the first to show the way to others." in her words.

Personally I don't know whether to be happy or disappointed with Nosimo Balindlela's move from the ANC to COPE then to DA.
But I think she really does have the nation's best interest at heart. Many of you might not agree with her decision or my opinion for that matter but I will still give my opinion nevertheless ,and I say The ANC might have pulled us out of the hard times but right now I feel they have lost the plot and have lost track of what's important.
